Student Planners

The student planner will be used as a form of communication to help families know what is going on in 1st grade. It will contain information about what was assigned for homework as well as a nightly reading log. 

 

The teacher will check planners on a daily basis for parent/guardian signatures and any notes that have been written. From time to time, your child’s teacher may write notes in the student planner as well.

 

Planners will be a place for students to record his/her daily behavior.  Students will give themselves a smiley face, a straight face, or a frown.  

 

Students are expected to read 15 minutes EVERY night.   Parents should write the title of the book the student reads and sign the given spot in the student planner. 

 

After all homework is completed, parents should sign their initials in the appropriately marked space for the day. Students will receive a new planner each trimester.
